Chicago

Sorry for the delay in updates! The last month has flown by. (And yes we did get some wedding planning done while Ashley was home!)
Last weekend I (Kiley) went to Chicago with a few friends.
I stayed with Carly (one of my bridesmaids and it was her roommates birthday! Friday night we went to a bar called Uncle Fatty's, which is actually like a Beach themed bar. There was a band, The Spazmatics, playing a bunch of cover music. Here we are with a few of the band members. They dressed/acted as nerds-it was quite comical!
Saturday morning we went out to lunch at an Organic Restaurant called 'Uncommon Ground'. Fantastic!! (our appetizer was a sweet potato french fry with goat cheese fondue!) Then we took the L downtown to get some shopping accomplished. It's unbelievable how many options there are. Unfortunately, Chicago was living up to its name 'The Windy City'. So we hailed a few cabs and didn't spend much time walking around outside. Saturday afternoon we went the the Signature Lounge on the 96th floor of the John Hancock building for some cocktails and appetizers and an amazing view of the city.




Saturday night we stayed at Carly's and a bunch of people came over. It was a great trip and a great way to catch up with friends that I hadn't seen in a while.
Now back to reality....
